INGREDIENTS

2 (12 oz) pkgs refrigerated biscuits (10 biscuits each
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage
1 cup chopped onion
1 (15 oz.) jar pizza or marinara sauce
6 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese (1-1/2 cups)
4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese (1 cup)

4 eggs
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted (optional)
1 cup packed brown sugar

Preheat oven to 400°. Grease a 3-quart (9 x 13) rectangular baking dish. Arrange biscuit pieces in the bottom of the dish.

Bake for 8 minutes.

In a large skillet, cook ground beef, sausage, and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender.

Drain off fat and stir in pizza sauce

Spoon mixture over partially baked biscuits and bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly coat a 13x9-inch baking pan with cooking spray

Separate 2 of the eggs, placing 2 egg whites in a medium bowl.

In a large bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium for 30 seconds. Add granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Beat until fluffy. Beat in 2 whole eggs, the 2 egg yolks, and 1 tsp. of the vanilla until smooth. Beat in flour on low until just combined.

Transfer mixture to prepared pan and spread to an even layer. Top with chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and pecans (if using).

Topping: Beat the remaining 2 egg whites on high until stiff peaks form, about 2 minutes. Fold in brown sugar and remaining 1/2 tsp. vanilla until combined and there are no lumps. Spread on top of chocolate chip layer.

Top with cheese and bake 10 minutes more or until cheese is melted.

Bake 20 minutes or until top is golden brown.
